PrefabAUS is the newly established peak body for the off-site construction industry. Communications Collective was appointed to build their profile and manage an inaugural conference that brought together key representatives from all related off-site construction sectors.
A national PR campaign leveraged the creation of an inaugural conference as a platform to drive membership and engage industry, government and media in a discussion about the future of Australia’s off-site construction.
The campaign featured a media education program, targeted pitching, establishment of a social media presence, industry partnerships and content seeding to print, broadcast and online media.
The sell out conference convened international experts, government ministers and industry leaders and included site visits, factory tours, workshops, panel discussions and presentations from 25 speakers.
More than 30 of the country’s top-tier news, business and industry media attended. The resulting 45 pieces of coverage had an equivalent advertising value in excess of $900,000, reaching an audience of 6.5 million.
The use of high profile Twitter ambassadors, live tweeting and media shares saw an additional 131,000 people reached via Twitter.
