On Friday August 2, out going CEO of the Royal Women’s Hospital, Dale Fisher, joined with colleagues and friends to celebrate her incredible contribution to the hospital over the last 12 years.
The celebration comes as Ms Fisher leaves her position at the Women’s to take up the role of CEO at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
Carousel at Albert Park, provided the perfect backdrop to a wonderful evening, with delicate floral bursts, provided by Flower Temple, in signature Women’s pink helped bring the space to life.
Following dinner guests were treated to a wonka-esque chocolate dessert station, a talking point for the evening.
While always known for her impeccable style, her time at the Women’s showcased Ms Fisher’s leadership skills as well as her passion and advocacy for women and women’s health, traits noted by all during speeches.
Former Victorian Premier, Ms Joan Kirner AC, who was unable to attend the evening provided a short video, to accompany the speeches and a presentation of photographs from Ms Fisher’s time as CEO.
In her own speech, Ms Fisher thanked, individually and collectively, those who helped to shape her time at the women’s and those who continue to make it a world class institute for women’s health.
During her nine years as Chief Executive, Ms Fisher oversaw the successful relocation and redevelopment of the hospital after it’s separation from the previously combined Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
