Communications Collective was engaged by DesignBUILD to plan and execute a strategic PR campaign to promote the event and raise the authority of DesignBUILD as a legitimate voice in the industry.
DesignBUILD is the only dedicated trade show to bring together Australia’s architects, building professionals, contractors and design community with manufacturers, suppliers and service providers, for three days of unrivalled networking and inspiration. The event consists of a trade exhibition alongside two paid education offerings, curated to cover the themes of industry compliance, sustainability and innovation. Communications Collective (CC) was engaged by DesignBUILD to plan and execute a strategic PR campaign to promote the event and raise the authority of DesignBUILD as a legitimate voice in the industry.
The key objectives of the DesignBUILD communications campaign were to increase brand awareness, drive ticket sales and position DesignBUILD as the leading platform for the architecture and design industry. To do this, CC developed a comprehensive strategy involving key speakers from the event to develop interesting, timely and relevant media angles. CC conducted interviews with a broad spectrum of speakers to create content that was newsworthy, and then combined this with DesignBUILD’s key messages to craft a number of comprehensive media releases. CC successfully secured media coverage across property, design and mainstream publications.
Across the campaign, CC increased awareness of DesignBUILD to both the public and the media and further established the brand as a leader in the industry. 28 pieces of editorial coverage was secured across architecture and design, property, mainstream and trade publications which had a potential reach value of 2,942,597, with an advertising value equivalent of $58,740.
