The CEFPI (Council of Education Facility Planners International) has awarded Hayball in association with Dr Julia Atkin a commendation for Camberwell High School Enterprise Centre in the New Construction: Major Facility category.

The  was struck by how well the designed spaces supported the students’ desire to learn in a variety of ways. Hayball worked closely with the school and collaborated with education consultant Dr Julia Atkin and education interior designer Mary Featherston to create purposeful settings facilitating a range of education experiences and opportunities.

The culmination of a three-year research, planning, design and construction process, the ‘Enterprise Centre’ marks a major development in teaching and learning at Camberwell High School. Camberwell High School is currently being used as a case study in a joint research project between the DEECD and the University of Melbourne studying new generation learning environments.

The school’s vision was to create a facility that articulated their education model, which promotes enterprise and endeavour among students, while providing a learning environment that prepares students for a technologically advanced world.
