The Age Travel recently profiled ROTHELOWMAN’S $10 million restoration and extension of the Flinders Hotel on the Mornington Peninsula, including its boutique accommodation Quarters, is complete. The new 40-room hotel has maximised use of glass for an outside-in focus on the area’s coastal scenes.
The first Flinders Hotel, which burnt down in 1926 and reopened in 1928, has undergone multiple refurbishments.
The three-year project has included the creation of bistro and bar The Deck, the more formal Terminus restaurant, awarded one chef hat in the The Age Good Food Guide 2013, and a function space for 120 in an area popular for wedding festivities.
