The eyes of the architecture world turn to Venice this week,as the 13th Biennale of Architecture begins on August 29th.
The world’s largest and most significant architecture event, the Biennale comprises of an international curated exhibition and national pavilions for 34 countries, along with peripheral events. The 2012 event is curated by British architect David Chipperfield, who has developed the concept COMMON GROUND as guiding curatorial theme.
The Australian Pavilion, supported by the Australian Institute of Architects and headed by creative team Anthony Burke and Gerard Reinmuth, will present FORMATIONS – New Practices in Australian Architecture.
Furthering its close working relationship with the Australian Institute of Architects and Australian architecture community, Communications Collective is excited to be attending the 2012 Venice Biennale.
CC will also be guest reporting on this years pavilions and exhibitions for the American Institute of Architects, after a recent meeting with them in New York.
