A community fete is coming to Brunswick East this February featuring craft workshops, market stalls, food trucks, and more.
The Stewart Collective Fete will be a one-day celebration of nature and neighbourhood, taking place on Saturday 16 February, from 9am to 5pm.
With a focus on local designers and artists, the fete will feature a series of adult and child-friendly workshops, including:
_Weaving and fibre sculpting classes with Maryanne Moodie;
_An introductory plant care workshop with The Plant Society;
_Native flora painting classes with Dawn Tan;
_Eco-based nature mobile creating with Beci Orpin; and
_A family-focused nurturing music class with The Rhythm Tree.
Throughout the day, guests will be able to get their caffeine hit from Royal Road Coffee and enjoy nostalgic eating experiences with all-day tacos from the Taco Truck and schnitzels from the experts at Von Crumb.
Guests will also be able to browse a range of stalls selling a variety of sustainably-created items including ceramics, pottery, succulents, clothing and pet accessories.
The fete is suitable for all ages and four-legged friends will also be welcome, with a designated ‘barking lot’ to keep your pooch safe and hydrated throughout the day.
Entry into the fete is free with costs varying per workshop. Bookings are essential for the workshops and can be found with further event information at the link below.
